The choice is yours: The Trinity Advanced SL series is designed primarily for triathlons, while the Trinity Advanced SL TT frameset is made for time trials. Both are built on the same frameset crafted with Giant’s highest-grade Advanced SL composite featuring AeroSystem Shaping Technology.

The difference comes down to setup: The Tri series features multiple models with different component levels including the flagship Trinity Advanced SL 0. Every model in the series comes equipped with an integrated hydration system and larger capacity bento box.

The Trinity Advanced SL TT frameset has been developed, tested and raced (on prototype models) by riders from the Jayco AlUla WorldTour squad. The TT frameset includes an integrated down tube water bottle and cage that was designed specifically for aero optimization with the frameset.

Key to any bike or frameset that is defined by its prowess against the clock, is its aerodynamic footprint. The Trinity SL's revised truncated ellipse shaping on the head and down tubes, fork and seatpost and with the addition of disc brakes and the requisite frame and fork shapes employed to integrate them, have resulted in significant savings on their own. However, it is the integration of the fuelling system that has delivered the greatest gains (this is also true for the weight savings on the bike, with over a 33% stemming directly from the system) - the combined result being a 5.9 Watt aero advantage over the outgoing model.

From a construction perspective, the advancements in the latest iteration of the Trinity frameset can be represented by the frame's efficiency - a combination of stiffness and weight. The new Trinity Advanced SL has dropped over half a kilo in weight while maintaining the transmission stiffness of the predecessor (this metric is an industry benchmark that factors Pedalling stiffness and Lateral stiffness at the fork). This yields a huge 12.6% increase in efficiency.

Arguably, it is the changes to the fit that are the biggest selling point of the new Trinity. Ultimately if you are not comfortable and in a sustainable position, you will not be fast - regardless of the advancements in the frame. Giant have spent a considerable chunk of development working on fit. The new Trinity features 2 additional (4 in total) seat-post offset positions and 11mm extra range. In the cockpit the stack range increses 20mm to 80mm and the reach range is up 15mm to 75mm, width from 6-8 settings and there are 3 arm-rest angle options and extension widths have doubled to 4. All in, the new Trinity has 24 times more settings to enable riders to dial in their perfect fit and compromise less. If the previous Trinity wasn't optimal - it very well may be back on the table for you now!
