Striking the ultimate balance between aero efficiency, stability, rolling resistance and weight savings, the SES 6.7 defines ENVE's "Real World Fast" philosophy. Pairing aerodynamics with high-volume tyres, the SES 6.7 is the new benchmark for speed.
Once a rim goes beyond the 70mm depth, aero efficiency rapidly tapers off and the additional weight quickly begins to neutralise the marginal aero gains that the deeper rim provides. These are the Enve learnings from more than a decade pursuing the ultimate Real-World Fast aero wheelset.
Letting their experience, CFD, and the wind tunnel guide them, Enve landed on the sweet spot of aerodynamics, weight, and stability to create a wheelset that goes head-to-head in the wind tunnel with the very best time trial and triathlon wheels on the market. Couple that with an impressively light, sub-1500 gram weight, superior stability, along with a high-volume design, and you end up with a wheelset that defines Real World-Fast.
The ENVE SES 6.7 has been aerodynamically optimised around a labeled 27mm tyre since data shows unequivocally that in real-world riding conditions, a higher volume tyre provides more speed, confidence, and control. As such, Enve developed the SES 27 tyre to be the high-volume race tyre for the modern road cyclist.
Featuring a 23mm internal rim width, the SES 6.7 can be paired with a 25mm tyre, but for those wanting to decrease rolling resistance and maximise speed, a 27mm-28mm tyre is the optimal labeled width.
Like the rest of the SES wheel line, the SES 6.7 has been optimised for road tubeless performance and features a hookless bead design that allows for the precise rim dimensions required to achieve the best tubeless performance. To further improve tubeless tyre and rim reliability, this aerodynamic carbon fiber wheelset features ENVE’s patent pending Wide Hookless Bead, a design element at the leading edge of the rim that provides a more forgiving surface, that when impacted, will reduce the likelihood of pinch-flatting a tubeless tyre.
Due to the refined and lightweight construction of the SES 6.7 and its sidewalls, this wheel is not suitable for off-road/gravel applications.
Built on fabled Chris King R45 disc hubs; these feature the patented Christ King RingDrive™ system in a reduced drag format, incorporating 45 points of engagement rather than 72, and bears centrelock disc rotor compatibility.
Designed by a master of hubs, this lightweight road racing hub is primed to deliver the brand’s precision, performance and quality that you’ll be proud to see on your disc brake equipped bike.
As with any Chris King Hub, it is easily serviceable and integrates the brand’s legendary bearings, available in steel or ceramic formats. Both types, made in Portland, Oregon, include steel races, machined simultaneously so that they match perfectly, and as the bearing tracks age they will burnish, ensuring that your hub gets faster with time.
The RingDrive™ system will ensure every bit of your power reaches the ground, and although the reduced points of engagement mean that the signature Chris King ‘angry bee’ sound will be somewhat quieter with this hub, it will still be apparent enough to let other riders know what you’re riding on as you approach.
The ENVE SES 6.7 Wheelset comes with ENVE's leading Factory Limited Warranty and Incidental Damage Protection. The Factory Limited Warranty protects buyers for five years from defects in material and workmanship, while the Incidental Damage Protection gives protection from damage caused to their wheels while riding, crashing or transporting bikes.
